Applications are invited for a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Musculo-Skeletal Imaging, based at Cambridge University Hospital.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic radiologist to join our radiology team, of 50 consultants, both NHS and University based, and 32 StRs. We have a close working relationship with the Trauma and Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Sarcoma and Oncology departments and are actively involved in multidisciplinary clinical, research and educational activities. The Imaging Directorate is ISAS accredited and the Trust is a Major Cancer Centre and a Major Trauma Centre.

The successful candidate will replace a vacancy to support the development of MSK Imaging services in addition to providing support to the general workload of the department. The department is well equipped with state-of-the-art machines including: 5 Siemens CT scanners, 1 PET-CT scanner, 6 GE MRI scanners, an ultrasound suite with 8 Toshiba US machines, 3 Siemens interventional radiology suites. Recently a PET-MR has been installed initially for research examinations.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Radiology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Radiology. Applicants must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
