Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow post in the department of Gastroenterology, starting between August 2018 and February 2019 for one year.  This post provides an opportunity to consolidate and develop Endoscopy and Gastroenterology practice in a state of the art Endoscopy facility at one of the world’s leading teaching hospitals.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop their specialist Endoscopy practice in either Advanced Colonoscopy (including Polypectomy, EMR and Colonic Stenting), EUS or ERCP – with associated training lists and research opportunities. 

The duties of this post include a service commitment to 6 sessions per week in either Endoscopy or outpatient clinics.  These sessions are worked at flexible times planned one month in advance to cover leave and consultant ward commitments.  Applicants should be at or near the end of their specialist training and independent in Gastroscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and Colonoscopy. 

Candidates must have full MRCP or equivalent and demonstrate an ability to communicate in English in a clinical environment. Applicants must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
