Our Trust
Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people – patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values – Together- safe, kind, excellent – are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

We are looking to recruit a new Medical Secretary to complement our current service. The post holder will be highly motivated and will provide day to day clinical and administrative support to the Consultants; and work with the wider vascular surgery team to ensure that patients are treated in a timely manner. The role involves high level of communication with a variety of staffing groups in CUH and external organisations. The ability to problem solve and prioritise workload is essential. The service will offer a supportive environment for learning and development and the opportunity to develop this new role into an effective, rewarding position. Applicants should have good communication and computing skills and be able to work to deadlines. Previous secretarial experience is essential and working in a hospital environment and booking patients would be an advantage but full training will be given.

This post is due to close on 19th February 2018.

Interviews are due to take place on 6th March 2018.
