An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Physiotherapist in the Functional Bowel department within Addenbrooke’s Hospital.  You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide kind, safe and excellent care for a very specialist group of patients of all ages.  We are a widely respected specialist treatment centre for patients with chronic constipation, obstructive defecation, evacuatory difficulties and faecal incontinence. We provide a wide range of treatment for functional bowel disorders. We are a specialist center offering Sacral Nerve Stimulation for the treatment of socially limiting faecal incontinence, which we receive a number of referrals for both locally and regionally. You will be part of the team who delivers this specialist treatment and provides the ongoing follow up for the patients care.

The post would appeal to an enthusiastic, self-motivated healthcare professional that has excellent communication skills and can offer advice, education and support to the patient, relatives and their carers.  

Experience in gastroenterology and / or colorectal is essential with underpinning evidenced based knowledge and skills. You will need to have a proactive approach towards continuous professional development.

This post will be offered at a band 7 for those who meet the essential criteria, however, applicants with relevant experience are encouraged to apply for the band 6 Development role and training will be provided.
