Our Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people – patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values – Together- safe, kind, excellent – are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

This is a great time to join us - we are excited by the future and further potential of voluntary services. We have a plan to grow our volunteer numbers and types of roles to benefit our patients and carers; we also want to ensure our volunteers enjoy and gain from their experience.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, organised,  innovative and engaging person who can assist the development of relationships both internally and externally.  You will have, the ability to communicate at a high level whilst contributing to a quality service working with a diverse group of committed volunteers in a busy office environment.   As part of the Volunteer services team you will support a range of services working closely with our ward managers and clinic staff to embed volunteering across the organisation.

You will have a strong administrative background, including experience of maintaining and developing databases. Some previous knowledge of the voluntary sector is desirable.  Above all we looking for an enthusiastic team player who loves a challenge, is creative with a commitment to volunteering and the NHS.

Interviews will take place on 1st and 3rd August.
