Our Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people – patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values – Together- safe, kind, excellent – are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

Are you looking for a Finance role working for one of the largest trusts in the UK that is both exciting and challenging?

The Financial Management department has a permanent opportunity for a Divisional Management Accountant to provide reporting and transactional support to corporate or clinical divisions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include looking after the budgets of your cost centres and liaising with operational teams in the Trust; managing invoicing for rechargeable activity; as well as having your own responsibilities within the team. The ideal candidate will also be able to work within a team environment as this role adds to a growing Finance team.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to prioritise their own work and to work to deadlines with little supervision. Good communication skills are also vital to this role. The Divisional Management Accountant must be able to demonstrate experience of completing month end activities.

The successful applicant should have gained, or be studying towards an accountancy qualification or equivalent. You will have excellent IT skills (especially Microsoft Excel) with proven ability to analyse large volumes of data and transform it into meaningful reports.  Although previous experience of working in a large organisation is desirable, it is more important that applicants can demonstrate confidence, analytical ability, and a flexible approach to the demands of the job.

The closing date for this post will be the 19th February.

Interviews are due to be held on the 22nd and the 23rd February 2018.
