Our Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people – patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values – Together- safe, kind, excellent – are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

CUH NHS Trust has recently become a Clinical Trials Accelerator Platform centre along with several other CF centres around the UK. The Clinical Trials Accelerator Platform is a new programme of work, being led by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Through the formation of a research collaboration, the Trials Accelerator aims to help increase access to clinical research opportunities for people with Cystic Fibrosis.

CUH NHS Trust run a portfolio of national and multicentre randomised controlled trials, and targeted treatments in the area of Cystic Fibrosis. To reflect our new membership to the Trials Accelerator and our on-going expansion of our trials portfolio, we require a Trial Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day management of Trial Accelerator supported clinical trials.

The Trial Coordinator/research nurse will work closely with members of the local CF clinical and research team in addition to the Head of the Clinical Trial Accelerator Platform at the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Trial Coordinators at other Trial Accelerator centres.

Key responsibilities of the post will include overseeing the efficient set up and delivery of commercial Cystic Fibrosis clinical trials, ensuring timely accrual and high quality data collection.

Please note that professional registration is only required for a Clinical Research Nurse applying for the role.
