Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Higher) in Acute Medicine to start as soon as possible until 31 July 2018.

CUH is one of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals. We are seeking doctors keen to join a middle grade team comprising 4 Specialty Registrars and several Clinical Fellows.

The successful candidate will work primarily on the short-stay general medical wards as well as partake in the running of the general medical take. Outpatient experience will be gained in our established ambulatory care unit and medical follow up clinic.

There is excellent senior support and supervision from a team of dedicated Consultants. The department hosts weekly internal CPD and radiology meetings. The Trust offers plenty of other educational opportunities. The Clinical Fellow is also encouraged to attend one specialty clinic per week and to contribute to teaching of junior staff.

These posts are not accredited as part of a specialty training programme.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).  Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
